2019 Mercedes-Benz EQC Revealed in Stokholm

On September 4th Mercedes-Benz revealed the first model in a new range of electric vehicles under the EQ sub-brand. The EQC is a five passenger electric crossover based on the Generation EQ concept first revealed in Paris in September 2016.

Though the EQC is a similar size to the gas powered GLC crossover, the EQC is in fact an entirely new model rather than a slightly altered electric variant of the GLC.

The EQC currently comes in only one flavor the EQC 400 which has a reported 400 horsepower, hence the name, along with 279 miles of electric range, and is scheduled to go on sale in Europe in mid 2019 followed by a North American debut later next year. Prices have yet to be announced but expect to pay a similar price to rivals like the Jaguar I-Pace and upcoming Audi e-Tron.
